Boulder Designs by Rock Ranch Monuments is a family-owned and operated business built on hard work, creativity, and a love for making things that last. Jessica and Sam Kraus combined their backgrounds in business, customer service, hands-on craftsmanship, and problem-solving to create something they could truly call their own — and something a little more fun than sitting behind a desk all day.

Like a lot of good stories, ours started through friendships and family connections. Our grandfather’s trip to the NFR introduced us to the world of custom stone, and before long we found ourselves completely hooked. What started as curiosity quickly turned into late nights, big ideas, and eventually a business centered around creating meaningful, custom pieces for people in our communities.

Today, we serve residential and commercial customers across Central Missouri. From memorials and benches to ranch signs, business signage, and one-of-a-kind custom pieces, every project is designed with the customer’s vision in mind. We know ordering custom stone can feel overwhelming at first, so we do our best to make the process simple, comfortable, and even enjoyable along the way.

At the heart of it all, we’re just a family that enjoys building meaningful pieces for other families and businesses. We believe in honest communication, dependable work, and treating customers the way we’d want to be treated ourselves. Around here, there’s usually coffee brewing, music playing, and at least one of us covered in dust by the end of the day — but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
